This page explains how users of Order Sensei can request deletion of data and what
data is deleted or retained.
How to Delete Your Data (Self-Serve)
- Open the app and go to Settings > Account > Delete account.
- Type your account email and DELETE to confirm.
- Your account and synced server data are deleted as part of that flow, and you are signed out automatically.
What We Delete
- Auth account record: your account in our authentication provider is deleted.
- Account profile data: profile and preference synchronization records associated with your account.
- Server-side app data we control: usage, billing, and app-operation records tied to your account.
- Temporary processing records: temporary job data associated with app usage.
On-Device Data
- Deleting your account removes synced server data.
- Some local data on your device may remain until you clear app history/settings or uninstall the app.
What Is Kept or Managed by Other Providers
- Store transaction records: managed by app store/payment providers under their legal and accounting obligations.
- Payment infrastructure records: retained by payment/infrastructure providers according to their own retention rules.
- Aggregated or de-identified analytics: may be retained when no longer linked to an identifiable user/device.
Retention Timeline
- In-app account deletion is processed immediately after successful confirmation.
- Backup systems may take up to 30 days to fully expire overwritten copies.
- Records that must be retained for legal, tax, fraud-prevention, or security reasons may be kept only for the required period.
